GReddy Type RS BOV open at idle - searched
My RS is completely closed at idle. Pulling about -15hg at idle at 850rpms, and adjustment screw is about half way in. Vacuum source is connected to one of the throttle body nipples. I'm running a single turbo setup as well.

That's interesting. It's behind the butterflies then. I'll have to try that out.

Good luck! Hope you get everything working correctly!

vacuum is the opposite of pressure.
yes, i read. VACUUM opens BOV's. if the bolt is tightened all the way down and its still opening with little vacuum (idle), the freakin spring is too soft and no science rubber glove condom experiments are going to help you fiure that out.
TIAL bov's with the weakest spring stay open at idle as well.

I when my blk car was running (2.5 years ago), I had Tial BOV mounted after the IC, just as you said, initial spring that came with Tial did open up at idle and air came out instead of sucking in. I was also worried about the weak spring and bought their higher rated spring. I also talked to few people about the bov opening at idle and most said not to worry. I ended up going back to weaker spring as I felt that running 12-14lbs of boost was un-necessary to use the stiffer spring.. Performance wise, i also didn't see any difference.. But who knows..
