Greddy Type RS BOV

JUst got a greddy type rs bov for my rx-7. Its twin turbo and i hooked it up in place of the stock one. I left the Valve in the back on, is this ok or should i T it.

Ive noticed that its not that loud and you canr reallly hear it.

Should i run higher boost? or is it installed wrong?

Ok, i cant get pictures right now but ill explain to the best of my ability.

When you look to the left you see the airbox. On the left side of the airbox there are two hoses one on the bottom, and one on the top. I cant remember which goes to which valve, but i put the BOV in place of the valve that was nearest to the airbox (NOT THE ONE NEAR THE FIREWALL) (THE ONE WITH THE ORANGE VACUUM HOSE CONNECTED). Then i took the vacuum from the stock BOV and put it on the new one. I fired the car up and let it warm up for a bit. When I rev it up to 4000 RPM's the valve opens but not all the way. I did adjust the spring, and its almost like theres not enough boost to push the valve all the way open. I did also cap off the hole in the airbox. Now another thing thats wierd is that when my car gets hot or i redline, i get a check engine light and it runs like ****. Keep in mind, i did keep the valve that was in the back near the firewall plugged into the airbox.

Do i need to run more boost? Im completely stock and Im pretty sure your going to flame me for putting an aftermarket BOV on a stock RX-7. I might add that one of the mazda mechanics said that one of my turbos had a small leak. Could this be the problem?

Any suggestions would help, and I did do my research. Im pretty sure I put it in correctly because I used a diagram. This BOV also comes with the flange that enables you to plug it into the stock piping.

THANKS GUYS KEEP EM COMIN.

Right mate from your description,,, u are connected to the correct pipe.,,,
Theres 1 little thing,,, u need to drive the car to produce full boost,,,, revving the car while its stood still will only produce a little boost ( all turbo cars are like this,, engine needs load,, trust me drive the car,,, put your foot down and try the dump valve all will be revealed).

As for the check engine light, this is a different problem, (the check engine light will come on when the ECU detects an ->ELECTRICAL-< fault,,, ,,, Theres a way to get the ECU to flash out codes to tell you exactly what the fault is,, but ill have to dig round and find the instructions)

The valve in the back has to stay where it is. Its not the bov its the cvr or crv IDK. NO you should not run higher boost to hear your bov.

We did infact drive the car, yet we still cant hear it. Even if you rev the engine arnt you supposed to hear it blow off? We can only hear it off 2nd gear and its still not that loud. From what ive heard its pretty loud and pretty noticeable.

Thanks for the feedback.

Im an idiot lol, yes i did adjust the BOV all the way loose, and all the way tight. When its loose and i rev the engine to 3000 and release nothing happens yet the valve opens a little.

Im going to attempt to explain something a little wierd also....

As i rev the car and let off the gas, the valve opens a little and you can feel air come out, but then when its almost near idle something will turn on and it makes like a wierd airplane noise, i think its the alternator...im not sure its towards the upper right of the airbox if you were standing infront of your car. (AS THIS TURNS ON THE VALVE OPENS MORE THEN CLOSES)
