Greddy T-78 Turbo

I'm thinking of buying the Greddy T-78, but I have a few questrions first, and maybe some of you know.

1. What is the turbo lag like on this giant turbo?

2. What is the maximum obtainable horsepower output of that
unit?

3. If the lag is quite large, how could I reduce the lag to be
nearly unnoticeable(maybe installing a low end NOS shot?)?

you should go to the single turbo section for this -
but, a quote from a guy who recently went to a T78 was:

"the only people who are concerened about turbo lag, or think it is an issue, are those who have gone single yet!"

With the T-78 you should get 15psi around 4000-4300rpms. About 5psi a 3000rpm. I think 600-700hp is attainable with this turbo.

I dont care what others say..it's laggy...If I was to go single it would be the apexi smaller single...the dyno charts from max cooper show that this is one streetable single set-up.

I have a T78 in my 93 rx7 roadrace car and i think its too laggy for a daily driver. If i were to do a single turbo street car i would get the apex rx6. Then its easy to tune with xs engineering &Pfc. Most people are in traffic, leaving stoplights, and not racing every day. I've tried non sequential, regular,& the t78 and for the street I would stay with stock sequential until its time to rebuild and then justify the expense to change to single apexi.

Thanks to all of you for the input. I appreciate the advice. The only thing now is to decide what to do.

i dont really think lag should be a concern. in daily driving you dont need power, and while racing, your never below 4000 RPMs.

just my .02.
