Every car is different, you have to come up with your own settings....lots of tuning write-ups on the forum....just get out there and tune it.
Did you even try to search first:

do u really lose the settings?? i havnt noticed because its usually been off and it needs to be retuned anyway...that could screw me over because i disconnect the battery cuz it likes to die!!
anyway...every car is different. just go and retune it. maybe keep track of what settings u end up with. if i was smart i would have done that.

I did some searches and tweeked the settings a little and this is what I have so far
Set:37
Gain:7%
Set Gain: 90
Warning: 105
Warning L: 99%
Peak: 104
So I did some runs and it seemed to be fine I guess. Boost is held at 10, my warning beeps never went off. I checked what my peak boost was after a couple runs on the freeway and it was at 104. Does this seem about right?

One method I read about that seemed like a good way to set up the controller with a clean slate (if the base I set you up with isn't working well) was to turn gain, set, and set gain to 0, then gradually turn up gain until the boost started to waiver and back it off a little. This sets the gain at the maximum level without fluctuating boost. Then gradually increase the set until the car is boosting 10 psi. Then increase the set gain until you get a small spike on the primary then back it off a little.
This should get you a good 10-8-10 pattern. And like I said Brian, if you need help getting this set up, give me a call or stop by sometime and I'll help you out.
Also if you do a search on "profec" in the title of threads in the 3rd gen section it will bring up a lot of threads about other peoples experiences and advice setting up the controller.

Ok, I went ahead and drove the car a little today to see how the settings were and this is what I got out of it.
Everytime I got on the acceleration my boost would hit the 10.5 and then go down to 7-8psi because I set my Warning L to 99% which means when it hits my Warning of 105 it will kill the boost and go down to 7-8. I need to find a way to basically have it be able to reach 10psi and hold that but I'm scared of changing my Warning L to less than 99% and it spiking a blowing my engine. Since it seems to always be reaching 10.5psi, how much should I drop the Warning L in able for it to hold that?
Second thing I noticed is that my second turbo didn't seem to feel as if anything was kicking in, it seemed when I was in the higher RPM's it would stay around 6-7psi for a while while the rpms grew and then finally went up and hit my peak setting and back down the 7-8psi because of having my Warning L set at 99%.
I think I just need to find a % that will lower my boost just a little whenever I hit my peak so I don't drop all the way down to 7-8psi.

I thought I read in the book though if the boost is spiking that you should lower the gain by 2. I'm just scared that by raising the gain, it will make the boost even higher.
So that would be a fix for the higher rpm range, but how about for the lower where I keep hitting my peak psi and I want the boost controller just to drop it a little like I have my peak set at 10.5 I believe, and whenever it hits that I have it set so it turns off boost (goes to 7-8psi) so how can I make it so it just drops to 10psi? Lower the 99% to around what?

Have you actually read the manual? Everything you need to know is on pages 16-17. All you have to do is raise or lower the "Set" level to raise and lower boost. The Gain will change the sharpness of the response. The higher the Gain, the better, up to the point the boost becomes unstable. Setting the Start Boost level close to the Set level will result in quick spool but may result in spiking.
All you have to do is read the manual, man.

I did read the booklet, I just get confused with everything. Not only that, I'm just worried about messing with the wrong thing and that one time where I go and try to test it out is where I spike and blow the engine or something goes wrong. So I should lower my set since boost is reaching my peak every single time?
With gain you say higher the gain, the better? My gain is only set at 7%...
Is the start boost level the "set gain"?
