greddy FMIC pic request

I need a picture of where the inlet side of the intercooler takes the pipe in....I can't seem to figure out how much of the body to cut away...also, what did you use to cut the body away?

how the hell do you drain the power steering fluid? i just cut the hose and let it drip...

thanks guys

Here is a picture of my cut away, is that what you are talking about?...
As for the power steering, I just had the right hoses there (needed a new one for the passenger side because the stock one is not long enough) and pulled off the old ones and stuck the new ones on and clamped them down, I lost some PS fluid, but not too much.

I used a 4" grinder to 'cut' the metal...make sure you cover turbo intake and IC holes if they are open so you don't get metal chips in them...

Dude, the radiator will be pretty easy to swap out once you get it vertical...

Here are a few pics that will help you along...

The hack job I did on the frame...(Jason at the RX7 store claims you don't have to cut it to make it fit) Frame Cut (I sanded it when I was done)

The amout I trimmed off the bumper to make it fit.

How I cut rebar to make it fit the first time. (not me under the car)

Hope those help...

You can also visit this for some good photos site

Lets see some progress pics!

I don't have a pic with the mounting brackets, because mine don't quite fit. I am making new ones in the machine shop at school...
I drilled the holes in the wrong places...so the brackets didn't work...yea, stupid me.

got it mostly together, i'm still concerned about boost leak...these pips fit WAYY too tight for my taste

i feel like i'm bending them to get them to hold, it doesn't help that i don't have the efini y-pipe

gotta trim the front bumper a little more, anyone have close ups of the front bumper/intercooler section? i want to see just how much i need to trim off

thanks guys!!!

Dude, check out the pic above...Don't touch the trim the top part of the bumper...what you see in the pic is what I trimmed off the bottom and sides...

If you aren't there by tomorrow mid day I will take some pics of mine...

Good luck...

BTW, 1 (ONE) radiator bracket on wrong and it WILL be too tight for the pipes to fit properly...I had to flip around my passenger side bracket cuz I had it on wrong and it made a world of difference...Anyway, like I said...Good luck
