Greddy FMIC

Does anyone know what the difference is between the M-spec core and the V-spec core besides the obvious price difference? Is the M-spec core smaller?

they're both the same dimension for the 2 row. however, the M-spec core is "bar and plate", where V-spec core is "fin and tube". Fin and tube is designed to withstand higher horsepower. Its common type of core from japanese manufactures such as HKS, Blitz Knightsports, etc.

There's a link in the FAQ sticky under intercoolers that explain this more clearly.

Thanks RX7LINK.

Howcome neither greddy nor rx7store say anything about the difference? They're selling them so I'd assume that they would have some info on them.

I'm not ready for a lot of horsepower yet, just want to get rid of the stock joke (stock ic) so I think bar and plate should be fine for now. Anyway, thanks for the help.

I can't say i'm a fan of greddy's ic piping design.
If your car is just for street. M-core FMIC is fine. its the cheapest FMIC you can get for stock twins.

This I/C has already been discussed on this forum, and Jason from RX7store did speak on behalf of it.
