Greddy elbow installation

After the Greddy elbow is installed, there is a hose that used to be connected to the stock elbow (between the birds nest and the firewall. Is there anything I need to do to this, currently its open with no effect on the power/running or idle. Anyone know whether this should be hosed off, capped or do nothing,

san.

Wow your the first to install one of these. Some cap it off some put a filter on and some even remove it all to gether and put a blockoff plate on it. Oh and some even drill and tap the elbow install a hose fitting and install the hose just like factory. There may be other options but you'll have to search if you think I missed anything.

Get a rubber cap from the auto parts store and cap it. Easy, cheap, no mess (filter will puke oil into engine bay), works great. HELP! brand caps for heater hoses work great. 1/2" or 5/8", I can't remember which.

(1) Stop modifying what you do not know or understand.
(2) Get the Mazda Shop manual.
(3) Study section F until you know your engine and all of it's controls.
(4) Resume modification.

That hose goes to the AWS, look it up!
