Greddy Elbow and Apexi Twin BOV Fitment?

Will they mount up? It's an Apexi Twin Chamber universal BOV. Thanks, D

The elbow flange is only for the GReddy BOV. It's doubful they will mate up without extra work.

actually they do. I have an IC pipe with the flange on it and my apex unit fits on the flange. Only thing in my situation, I have to rotate the flange 90 degrees so the BOV points down and doesnt hit my coolant filler neck.

That would work great for my setup. Can you buy this online? Also, how do you like the sound of it? It's not loud and Ricey is it?

Thanks everyone for your replies, D

The pipe comes with an intercooler setup on ebay. I love the sound of it. I think it is one of the softer sounding ones. I had actually planned on getting rid of my APEX'i BOV in favor of a greddy so that I wouldnt have fittment issues. I just couldnt let the apex unit go, so I am having the flange rotated to fit. It is louder than stock but not "RFL" and it is not ricey...IMO.

i didnt like the twinchamber in higher boost applications. . . stock app. . . tis a great one. other than that. . . its really kind of a crapper. anything over stock boost will get you comp surge. well, im single turbo too, so. . . that may have something to do with it.

Hmmm, it works just fine with their single turbo (which may not be as large as the one you are using). A local FD owner bought the old Apexi car (which has Apexi everything) and has had no problems over the years.

I run 14 psi on stock (clipped) twins and dont get compressor surge...but you probably mean much higher than stock. like in the 15 - 25 psi range.

and actually the sound changes when you get to 10+ psi...its still a whoosh sound, just sounds kinda like a whip (no whistling).

hmmm. . . maybe i was mistaken. . . i only had that bov on a to4e xs turbo. i dont know, maybe i just had a bad unit. i simply related it to the small size of the inlet to the bov. maybe i shoulda given it another chance? hahahaha, bah, my type rs is fine

Paul,

I was going to install your BOV / greddy elbow and realized it was going to hit my alarm siren. I'm going to use it on my other FD.. hehe..
