Greddy elbow

When installing the greddy elbow the nipple that is on the stock elbow is not on the greddy. Do all you do is cap off the this hose to the automatic warm up or are there others that need to to be done?

Thanks

Angry Don't elbow me (it's a smog thing)

I had a hole drilled and a brass fitting put in. I was told it recirculates the air for smog reasons.

If you haven't installed it, have an aluminum nipple/peice tig welded on. I just had to get mine done right away (not quality but hidden from view).

I had a nipple put on mine for a few bucks when I bought it. I think you can also just put some type of filter on the hose that was connected to it instead, but I'm not sure what that does to your emissions.

The only time your AWS would effect your emissions is if you had a cold start test after your car had been sitting for a few hours, and I have never heard of anyone having a test like this other than for the auto manufacturer. You can unplug the solenoid and cap the hose, or the better way is to remove the solenoid and hose and make blockoff plates for them.

yep, MeLoN350 is right, has this ever happen to you? You start your car when it is cold and it goes right up to 3000 RPM. You give it a little push on the gas to stop it, don't you? Well removing that pipe will make sure it doesn't do that. Please don't go waste the greddy elbow by doing this, just eliminate the AWS (accelerated warmup system)
