Just a quick question, I'm ***** deep into a clutch job and just realized the only grease I have is redline cv2. Can this be used instead of the moly grease that's recommended? Will there be any adverse effects if i use the redline?

I've used that and wheel bearing grease. Never had an issue.

 

same here, i used high temp wheel bearing grease - no issues.

 

Just make sure not to use too much. You don't want it to sling onto the pressure plate or flywheel and cause it to slip. A little dab on the contact points on the clutch fork to throwout bearing, a dab where the slave hits, and a thin coating on the input shaft.
