Got a use motor in... now boost issue!
Okay, I've bought a use, complete motor with turbos at this one wrecking yard.
Got it on my FD and fire right away. After about 10 min of letting it warm up and idle, I took it out for a spin...
On first gear, Primary boost will reach 10, and transition at 0 then at 5.5 rpm or 6K RPM the secondary turbo will come on. But in 2nd and 3rd gear boost will come flawless. Sometimes....
Just happen to be on 1st gear the most that on 4.5 RPM 2ndary boost dont come on till 5.5 to 6 K...
what do you guys think could be the problem...

Okay,
since u guys make me look dumb and took it off, tell me what's making it do like that...!!
I've checked vac., CRV... all that.. Seems to be working fine. But does seem like theres a leak coming from the downpipe..

What I found on the first two pages of my search. I would dig deeper to find more, but this may help.
It's just not a 7. If you want large pics as sigs, then they have to be boobies or an rx7

Yes, I've search... and found results, but most of them are not like mine.
I guess, squential problem is such a common problem that could relate to tons of issue..
I'm thinking about selling it now come to think of it...
13.5K and it's yours...

The Turbo Control Solenoid / Actuator is one of the more complicated actuators as it requires both vacuum and pressure to operate properly. This actuator is controlled by two solenoids, (both are wired together to the one ECU output) one solenoid applies pressure to one side of the actuator and the other applies vacuum to the other side of the actuator. With pressure on one side and a vacuum on the other side of the actuator, the speed of the actuator is improved. A typical problem is loss of Secondary boost in 1st or 2nd gear at 4,500 RPM, but reliable operation in other gears. This points to one side of the Turbo Control Actuator not getting it's pressure/vacuum, so it will still operate but not quickly enough.

One on the ACV and one on the solenoid rack. Both must be tested and checked for failure as well as the vacuum lines to and from them.

You actually found a used engine for sale at a salvage yard? If you don't mind telling, how much did you have to give for it, and where did you get it?
I found ONE wrecked FD in the Wichita area and the engine in it was already gone.
