Got too much oil in the engine?
Took my car for an oil change today and what I figured after bringing the car back to garage was too much oil on the dipstick, around 3/4 inch above the Max mark (I tested this after the car had cooled down).
How bad/dangerous is this level of oil for our 13B engines?
Thanks.

You will need to drain some oil out the bottom. Drain it into a clean container so you can use it again to re-fill to the correct level.
ALWAYS!!!!! change your oil yourself ALWAYS!!!!

No need to siphon. Adams tip is all you need to do. I don't know why places have such a hard time getting the oil change right on our cars. Maybe it's the oil cooler/coolers from the factory.
I actually drove one that had been overfilled about 1/2" to 3/4" above full on the dipstick.
It drove around town and traffic fine, but on uphill pulls and under any amount of boost, the car had a huge plume of oil smoke billowing out the exhaust and looked frightening. I thought that car had a blown engine until I took it back and looked at the dipstick..

Since then I'm getting smoke and burned oily smell out of my hood vents after each boost when driving. Today I've unplugged my IC pipes near the turbo and bov but cant see any trace of oil in them. Pretty sure it's related to the oil overfill (which I already drained to normal level).
I don't know if I shall ignore that smoke or not?
