Thumbs up Got stuff installed (full exhaust, Eibachs, ...)

Finally got the car back. Was waiting for front pads for like 6 weeks

I got full 3" exhaust installed (N-tech). Damn its loud Its tolerable at idle, but when I accelerate it SCREAAAAMS. I tnink quite a lot of power was released with straight-through exhaust I can not test it fully, due to cold and damp roads, but I see the turbos spool faster and car really pulls nicely. Will have to check asap if the full exhaust cleared up my top end where I experienced some hesitation before (Due to M2 stage3 rich AFRs at top).

Also, the car was lowered on Eibachs. Visually there is quite a difference, but on the street I dont notice much of a change. Will have to see how it goes on the track. But indeed the car looks much nicer now as it is lowered. Agressive.

What I was afraid the most was boost creep that many experience with an opened exhaust. Outside it was like 0°C and I got no boost creep. Hooray!
Mind you, my WG is not ported.

I think now that I am done with my power mods after 2 years of ownership. I will only get HKS TP if I still get ignition breakup high in RPMs, but other than that, I'm really satisfied

Time to save up for some nice rims

hmmmmm with a full 3" exhaust system, it screams... I wonder how loud mine will be when I run 3" DP with open cutout. I don't wanna be loud . I like loud silence

I have some older pics of my car when I had Eibach's installed:

Eibach's don't lower the rear as much as some of the other springs, but their balance while driving is great. I really did enjoy them when I had them. You really see the difference when parked next to a car with the stock suspension. Here's one for reference:

Just FYI, the car above is now riding on coilovers after receiving the 4x4 joke too many times.

cruiser,

Congrats! You'll really like the Eibachs on the track. They make the car very predictable.

How did you test whether or not you have creep if you couldn't even "test it fully"? Maybe it won't creep in 1st gear, but I would love to see you try 3rd gear to 8000 rpm. Believe me, there WILL be creep. (especiall if it's only 0 degrees outside)

Sound clips

Ok... here is a soundclip I took with my mobile phone.
First file is AMR format (you will need RealPlayer or QuickTime to listen to it), only 8kb:

Other is converted to wav, but its a bit higher pitched so I recommend listening the AMR file (and this wav is also 230kb):

One more thing - in the clips I only rev it to 3k RPM. Too bad I dont have any clip from the scream it produces up top. Really really scary. I havent heard anything like it before (on this side of the racetrack).

And here is the only pic I have now that its on the Eibachs (again taken with mobile phone camera):

I could not take it through all gears to the top, but I did one 3rd gear WOT run and there was no creep I'm happy with that obvoiusly

damn, i couldnt hear crap on those sound clips!! LOL

its better if you get a full blown vid clip of the car idling, like you walking around it, then getting in and hittin the highway for some pulls

or am i asking too much?

The Eibachs don't lower the car that drastically as Mahjik said, but the handling difference is amazing with the stock touring shocks. Once you get a good custom alignment dialed in, it will seam like a different car, especially on track or autox.
