Got a question about remapped ECUs

So i recently purchased a rotory performance ECU Tuned for 1 bar (and other things but thats not relavent). I heard that this only supplys the fuel for that much boost and doesnt actually change the boost, which means id run stock boost + any creeping, and still need a boost controller to alter the boost. Anyone know if this is true? Car is in the shop so i cant go see for myself.

The ECU actuates the 'Pre-Control Solenoid' and the 'Wastegate Control Solenoid' to control boost. With a remapped ECU it changes the fuel maps to support mods and boost level to whatever point (In this case 1BAR / 14.7PSI) it also changes the triggers in the ECU for the solenoid control so it WILL run at 14 PSI instead of the stock 10PSI.

Hope that helps,
~Kris
