Most popular are the M2 and Pettit ECU upgrades, and the Power FC. For your current mods, and including up to IC and intake, any of the above will work fine.

first, what do you have on your car?...second, pettit no longer sells the ecu's, but getting a used one is better anyways because its cheaper and you can resell it for the same price...if you want the "fastest rx7 in whereever", you will need a reprogrammable ecu (apexi power fc)...you will need to get it professionally tuned because you can definitely not do it by yourself...

also search and read about the coolant seals, you will need to do the reliability mods to prevent damage to them.......heres a good order to follow, boost gauge and make sure you have a 10-8-10 pattern, radiator (u seem to already have one), aluminum ast, downpipe, if your boost pattern is messed up you will need to do a hose job most likely, THEN exhaust, intake, ecu/intercooler and BOOST CONTROLLER, maybe even get the ecu when u do the dp...This all assuming your engine is in good condition and your turbos aren't on their way out...

To be the fastest you will have to go single turbo conversion and will have to get a reprogrammable ecu as said before...you'll also need an upgraded differential and upgraged suspension to handle the increased power...also new clutch, flywheel, basically its gonna cost you ALOT.........

soo, i'd say screw the "fastest" dream and just do the reliability mods with the used pettit or m2 ecu and then after you get a good paying job (you will need a second car while this one is being worked on, which happens alot when you heavily mod it) and can afford to totally rework your engine, start going for the big power mods. The car is fast enough with the reliability stuff taken care of.

Also, never go above 10psi without an upgraded ecu, and never go above 14 with an ecu...unless you upgrade the fuel system and have a Power FC

m2..pettit are piggyback ecus..
whereas the pfc is a standalone..
with the capability of self tuning...
each independent of each other..

Correction:

m2..pettit are piggyback ecus.. These are stand alone, rechipped ECU's. They are not reprogrammable.

No, they are not. They are rechipped ecu's that replace the stock ecu.

A piggyback ecu would be the PFS (EFI) ecu or the Greddy E-manage.

i stand corrected..

always thought the m2 and pettit ecus had separate controllers...
didnt realize they were just rechipped... as jpandes had initially indicated..
