Smile Got the Car!!

Hello All. I am new to the forum. I am a converted Honda guy(thank god) and yesterday I bought my first Rx-7. I got a 93, base model. Paint is ok, engine is great. I am in love already. I am looking forward to talking with all of you.

Check for reliability mods before you do anything!

RE: Aluminum AST
Boost Guage
Turbo Timer('cause most of us are lazy)

Welcome....post some pix of your car as soon as you can. Then, you can have before & after pix.

Because, once you start learning......you're gonna do some mods!

Welcome aboard....NeedTwins...

It's a great car, isn't it? One of the best you'll ever own.
I see you're in CT. We're going to have a meeting for some MA and CT owners in late May or June at the Hooter's on the Berlin Turnpike. Keep checking the Northeast section of the forum for when.

My advice is to change the fuel filter and the oil as the first things you do. Then the coolant. Also, don't forget to let it idle for a minute or two after a hard run before turning the engine off. Any other problems or advice, you'll be able to find here on the forum.

Hope to see you soon.

JC

Thank you all for the welcome. I feel like I've joined an elite club because our cars are so rare. Ive only had the car a day and already I see people gazing at the car, and it's needs some minor body work. I have my work cut out for me. The body needs a bit of work( not a big deal), and there is a small boost issue. I am ready for what the car throws at me. I think these cars are incredible. Gonna start with the full tune up, then the body, then some 12 second timeslips and I'll be more than happy. Talk to you all soon...

Welcome bud, I'm a newbie here too. Do some searches, then listen and learn. I've learned more about this car than I've learned about any car in like 2 days, hehe. If you're anything like me, you'll be freakin out about the every little pop, grind, and rattle but trust me just read through the forums and you'll feel a lot more comfortable.

If you go to like a Costco or something you can get the ramen 30 packs, at like .22 cents per. I like the beef. I also like jelly sandwhiches. I am used to this, I had a nitrous civic hybrid before. Nothing like trying to diagnose who the hell knows what. Thanks all.

First of all welcome to the club, you will be receiving your membership card a week or two in the mail. "just kiddin" well all I can say is dont take your car to a dealer to get it worked on. Just do a search on the forum and if you dont come up with anything just feel free to ask us. "even if you think its a stupid question"or call pettit racing (as long as you buy from them they will help you out) As far as the body work goes, there is a big aftermarket world out there for the fd. Check some out at the rx7store.com enjoy but keep it safe!!!
