Thumbs up

It's great to see Rich in that picture. I hope everything works out well. I had a chance to meet Rich and his dad and they are outstanding.

Cool Baghdad GoodfellaFd3S

I spoke to Rich last Thursday. He managed to get a phone call out to stateside. He said that he's presently living in the palace of Saddam Hussein's half brother... he also said that there's a J-Dam (Bunker Buster) dud sticking outa the roof and that "...we really blew the crap outa this place. The interior has really nice marble but everything else is looted to include all the plumbing fixtures. The only thing left is a bunch of bare wires hanging out of the walls...even the toilet fixtures are stripped out. Hmmm, sorta sounds like what Rich did to his REX !

Anyway, he said the road trip up North wasn't exactly like an RX-7 rally... Every night when they stopped to logger down he heard small arms fire but luckily they didn't take any incoming fire! Most of the Iraqi people he saw smiled and waved, especially to the Abrams and Bradley's...

So, for now, he's washing his clothes in the Tigris River and happy to have a roof, well part of a roof anyway, over his head... He definitely doesn't miss the sand storms of Kuwait. Well, that's about it for now... He misses home and can hardly wait to get back. He also said to pass on his thanks and well wishes to all on the forum for their support. It really means allot!

Thanks,

Rich Sr.

Negative. Still out here in the Baghdad area. I was just washing my clothes in the Euphrates River, actually. I have (sporadic) internet access now .
