Good drop in air filter?

I need a new air filter for the stock location and was wondering which air filters are good. I was looking into a k/n filter but they are 65 bucks and i would have to wait a few days to get them. What do you use?

I think the K&N is worth the wait. If you shop around, you may be able to do slightly better on the price. The stock air filter is such a pain to replace, that you'll want to go with a lower restriction air filter to begin with. The car has so much horsepower though, that you probably won't feel the 1-3 hp the K&N is said to add.....at least I don't feel it, whereas in some other cars I have felt a difference.

K&N is the Best - MOST FLOW and LAST FOREVER - Summit Racing sells them for $49.95 - MAZDA oem is very good but costs $40 from the dealer - all the discount store brands (Fram, Purolator, Etc.) are crap.
Get the K&N its well worth it.

my brother got both K&N air filters, duels and the stock mount ones and he said there was a faster spool up with the duels but a smother and higher hp feel with the stock mount ones. i say the K&N air filter stock mount is the way to go and is worth it. the only thing bad about it is that you cant really hear the turbos spool up with the stock mount one.
