Unhappy Gone!!!

I just sold my FD, i thought i'd tell everyone that just because i am bored, i needed to get rid of it so i could get something nice, new, and i can drive it everyday year round. Oh well in 2 1/2 years when i am done with college i will by myself another one. I'm thinking about buying a blown motor and just learn how to rebuild it and build it up and have it ready to put in the next FD i buy when im done with school.

I bought an FD with a blown engine. I dont regret it one bit. But I also took a lazy way out and bought an OEM NEW engine. However, I do now have an extra engine and transmission that I will be rebuilding once my baby is up and running.

Good luck with school, I know it sucks chugging through it sometimes, but it'll be worth it!

You did the right thing. You have the rest of your life to worry about debt.

Two main things that a college student should worry about:
1)school work
2)partying

Yea, I sometimes wish I didnt go with the FD cause it isnt the best car for a college student. Gas milage sux, it isnt very practical, and its not exactly reliable either. I have thought about getting a newer used car like an Evo or C32 as of late but I dont know if I will actually let go of the RX7. I love my RX7 sooo much (Best car I have owned by far) but I wish I waited till I was done with college to get one...

It does feel good to have the weight of the car lifted off of my shoulders, i really haven't even drove it this year at all. I hope the car made the drive from ohio to north carolina i know it should but you never know with rx-7's.

Partying well i do plenty of that anyways now and doing my school work well somehow i find a way to fit in somewhere even if i do study for a hour or less.

Oh well the main reason i sold the car is because im moving to columbus to finish my schooling at OSU. Im tired of this reginal campus bullshit, its nice and its cheaper but i want real college life so first step was saying goodbye to the rx-7

If anyone knows of anyone selling a Mazda6 in the ohio area please pm me im looking for one now. I want a 6 cyl. 5-speed S model.

Thats why im glad I have two RX7's...lol. The funny part is the FD is probably more reliable than my FC. Cars usually are more reliable if they're slower and the FD definately is. Usually its the opposite. But im still in college.

I'm in college and I have 2.5 years left out of the 5 year program. It sux but I can't get rid of my FD. I DD a civic but still, losing the FD would be like losing my left nut. Not cool.

I hope I dont have to get rid of mine when I go to school. I just went to Myrtle beach this weekend for the day. It was a 3.5 hour drive, I left with 1/2 a tank and got there with some left? WTF? I didnt boost but maybe 5 times the entire drive but still thats some incredible gas mileage. I got there and the three girls me and my friend were meeting tried to fit in my car, didnt work but made for some great pictures. Went back home the same day had a couple 140mph runs, some of the roads were just empty for ~15 miles, still ended up using less that half a tank. The whole time car never had a problem, I was watching temperatures like a hawk but they never really did much. The only wierd thing was my turbo timer wanted to let the car run for like 18 minutes! I think alot of the things that come with owning the 7 are with every sports car, gas mileage, room, worrying about it. I cant talk about reliability since I have had no problems, but I guess the 7s 1 down on that, although it is 14 years old! Sad to hear you had to let yours go, but atleast your being realistic.

Sorry you had to sell it.

Thats why i bought mine when i was financially stable. Now the car is not running and i dont even care lol. It will just sit til i have time for it. Right now i just bought a house and i might be picking up a 300zx TT for daily driving so the FD can wait. lol
