Yeah, those grease monkeys tighten the nuts too much. It's often impossible to get the nut loose with the stock wrench. I had to get a longer wrench before the nuts got loose. I had a little hard time getting the wheels off when I was doing my brakes too. Lowering the car a little w/ some pressure on the wheel and nuts off seem to help. Kicking also helps but just dont' mess up the wheel studs.
Never ever get under the car unless you've got it on a lift or jackstands.

Put anti-seize compound on the back surface of the wheel that mates to the rotor to prevent this from happening again. This is a fairly common problem, and the anti-seize is the solution once you get them off the first time.

Even on jackstands, the car may still fall on you. For your own good, don't do it again. It's really suck when you got a RX-7 and don't have a chance to drive it coz the car fall on you.

When I got my wheels powedecoated they did inside the centerbore fo the wheels and it made the centerbore slightly smaller so when I put the wheels back on the fit onto the hub was much tighter. When I tried to take the wheels off a few days later it was like they were welded on! I had to kick the hell out of them to get them lose. I think sometimes corrosion will also cause this problem. Clean out the rub orafice of any corrision or debris and in My case I had to chip out the powdercoat.

Me too! when I took the stock wheels off. Just gave them a few solid kicks on the rubber and they broke loose.
