Going to sell my engine.

Hello.

As the title says i will be selling my 2000 Type R short block and my stock twins (280hp) both with 25k original miles in perfect condition. The car makes 286rwhp with only a PFC, cat-back and intakes at 0.9bar, you can find my dyno graph at the 3rd gen/time slips-dyno graphs. The reason i'm doing so is because i'm going for a single and i will import another side ported engine from Japan. The trasportation costs to send my engine to either Japan or USA are too much and it does not worth to do so. Unfortunatelly here in Cyprus nobody disassembles rotaries.

Anyway, the question is how much shall i sell them? I am willing to make a compression test of the engine to prove that it is in perfect condition.

Since shipping is soo $$ and there are not any mechanics in cyprus, Why don't you just keep the engine. And learn how to rebuild them yourself? You have no better reason than the current one.( noone tears them down)
If the engine is still good as you claim, Then you shouild be able to get away with a pretty clean rebuild. And not have to replace much more than just the rotor housings..if worn .

Also you will gain the knowledge of the engine. And save yourself alot of money in the long run. From all the transport costs. I would think that if you are going to be able to sell it, it would be locally as not many people here will pay that big shipping bill to get it to the states. Well maybe the kids will cause it is a Typre R but it really isn't any big gains over what we can get here. No offense to you it is just not a feasable idea imo.

My advice is to learn how to rebuild the engines yourself.( Unless the $$ is needed for the next engine ) they are fun, and NOT complicated. just have to pay attention to detail.

As far as a price for the items... I would guess in the 3k US dollars ballpark area. maybe

Plus, if you learn how, you can become the builder in your area. Then poeple will pay you to do their rebuilds. Since nobody in Cypress can do it, you'll have the market cornered.
