Going to sell my car, asking for advise.
I hate to do it, but its time to sell my 94 MB FD. Figured i'd ask you guys about what i should ask for it, and maybe have someone talk me out of selling it :P.
All things considered, i really don't drive it much anymore. One reason is that the starter is going out and work is keeping me too busy to change it (or too tired to actually do the work). I have a dailey driver... and i'm looking at getting a house. And the money from my 7 would be a nice down payment. And paying insurance on it just to look at it sitting pretty in my garage is sorta pointless.
As i said, its a 94, montego blue touring. Its got 90k miles on it (89,XXX). I bought it when it had 69,XXX on it and the motor was shot. Paid way too much for a new atkins motor with 3mm seals, 99 spec turbos (as mine were crap), power FC with a datalogit, wideband, 3" exhaust, koyo radiator, blitz boost controller, etc... I've got a carbon fiber hood for it (vis, or possibly a knockoff) as well as the original. It runs great and you can ask jacobcarmtill if he is still around here as hes played with it a little. This car has been my baby and i've taken care of it, its been garage kept since i got it and i've never beaten on it.
The "bad": when i bought it, i car faxed it. It was in a wreck by the previous owner, but never had an insurance claim. The only information is from the police report of collision with a "fixed object".. aka guard rail. When i went to get it aligned i was told that the frame wasn't completely straight, but it shouldn't be a major concern. In a "perfect world" i was going to get it straightend and repainted... but sadly its time for a house. I've never noticed any issues, but its not something i wouldn't tell someone who would buy it. As i mentioned it the starter doesn't always want to kick over... but i'm likely going to replace that prior to selling it. It could use a new paintjob because it has a few rough spots, but the clear coat isn't peeling or anything horrid like that, but i'm pretty picky. But all in all, but a car thats 15 years old... its in good condition.
So.. what do you guys think? In your opinion what do you think its worth? I really "hate" selling anything just because of the "what ifs" involved. But my car is solid (aside from the starter).. i love it and bought it with the intent of keeping it forever.. but its time for it to go unless i suddenly win the lottery which would require playing in the first place.

Its already been strightened by the previous owner, just not quite 100% back apparently. My original plan was to take it to a shop and have the work done, but hobbies came into play taking away the funding... and now i've got a friend thats a morgage broker thats telling me to get a house while the getting is good lol.
I can't part it out though, that would kill me. My brother in law wants it too as he always tries to drive it when he comes into town. But my sister keeps him broke so i doubt he can buy it.

I would low ball, looking for a track car/occasional weekender. It will be pain full though. PM if you are interested.
I wonder if you have the "click click" problem (forget the technical name) and its not the starter. As I recall there is a bunch of fixes ranging from bypassing the security solenoid to a voltage kit sold by Pettit racing.
