Going To Pick Up My FD From The Ports Tommorow... Advise?
Hey guys,
Im going to the vancouver port tommorow to pick up my car, i got an email today that the car is not starting... Upon further investigation the guy told me that when they first tried to start it there was nothing. So obviously the battery is dead.
The full inspection report i got before the car left Japan says that the car ran perfectly.. which leads me to think that the other components in the charging system are fine.
I was going to take a new battery with me.. just a generic one from an autoparts store, and also some tools... 6/8/10/12/14mm socket/wrenchs, screw drivers, duct tape, zap straps and plyers.
Can you guys suggest anything else?
Thanks tonnes guys!!

make sure the battery you bring along has the terminals on the same side.
my car sat for 6 months in my parking spot in kyoto before being sent to Aus. It started first go though, i guess i was lucky.

A can of gas, Most likely they drained the tank for safety purposes.
Just think you bring everything you need to drive it away, and you don't have enough gas to get out of the parking lot...
Proof of insurance, for when you get pulled over on the way home

I wish you luck with this... you haven't even seen the car yet and its not running! wow I hope you did'nt get screwed by these people. I would take pics of the car and get someone at the port to witness the condition. good luck and I hope its only a dead battery.
