Going to buy an RX-7

I'm looking to buy an RX-7 and I was just wondering what kind of advice all of you woudl have for me.

There are 2 black R1's I am considering, altho they are quite far away so i'd have to be pretty sure about it to go see one.

Could you tell me of things i shoudl ask the sellers about and check for myself once i decide which one i'll go check out?

Also one engine was rebuilt, do the engine need to be broken in any special way?

Sorry to be such a newb but any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

you might want to ask for a compression test and bring a boost gauge to check boost pattern. also, find out why the rebuild was done. If it was rebuilt under 75k miles, that may be a sign of neglect or abuse causing other problems that would make the rebuilt engine blow too.
