Exclamation Glove box issues

I have a 93 and when I bought the car, the previous owner had the glove box out because he installed the power fc. I guess he had other things to do then to put it back in, lol. What I'm trying to figure out is, how do I put it back in? I've tried searching for the past 2 hours on here and just on google. Please help!!!

Part of the trick to get it back "in" is the sides are actually pliable. There are two ***** each side should fit over (please note...this is a horrible description and perhaps someone else can provide images). You squeeze the back to pop them over these ***** and your glove box will now be secure and open and close on its normal axis.

The thing that's got me going crazy is the top of the glove box, like the part that meets against the dash is curved. It doesn't even look like it will fit. I've tried to find pictures but I can't find anything! It's been driving me crazy.

Are you sure you have all the parts? I was in the same boat last winter. I was actually missing a few parts which I got from a vendor here. Once I had the proper parts I had my glove box installed in 10 minutes. Gringo is right, it should just pop into the side plates. All you should need are the parts circled in red. I hope this kind of helps.

If you have all the parts, the easiest way to do it is to lock the top part in place first, then push the bottom in. You will have 2 phillips screws, one on each side, to put to hold it.

Like moose said, probably will be on your back to get these in. PITA for something so seemingly simple.

I think I get it. Do you have to take off that metal brace that goes across? It looks like that the 2 tabs screw into the bottom of the glove box. I have the 2 plastic pieces that are in the picture.

Btw, the metal brace is blocking me from putting it in, lol. I just don't want to force something and here that snapping sound.

I got it in. The guy had the bar screwed in backwards. Thats why nothing made any sense!!! Next problem: It doesn't shut all the way. It hangs down. Do I have to bend the bar?

Common problem with 93 models, I keep mine closed with velcro, nothing in there anyway.
