what do you expect? did you check the kbb value for it? better yet, what do you think the demand is for vr4's and rx7's in colorado?

dealerships need to make money too. they need to put in the money to recondition it.. they need to pay the rent on their property, and the salesmens' commision to put food on their table.

for the cars that we own, it's better to find a buyer that's an enthusiast. maybe in the local pape or autotrader.com; they will respect the care and hard work we put into our cars. however, if you go to a dealership, don't expect more than kbb "good" value for your ride unless your buying a car off of them that they're making a resonable profit off of.

to a good dealership, it shouldn't be anything personal....just busine$$.

It shouldn't be a big surprise that they would want to "buy low" and "sell high". Without seeing the cars, the offer on the VR-4 sounds pretty generous. It's a 13 year old car, with significant transmission problems and a body that's "in pretty good shape except for some problems". In any event, it's nothing to get offended by.

true!

If a dealer gives your the same amount of money for your car as they can sell it for, where does the money come from to pay the lease/employees/other expenses?
