gauging clutch life

I'm trying to determine how much life is left in the friction plate of my clutch. Does anyone know how thick a brand new stock plate should be? I have an ACT S/S clutch, which uses a stock friction plate, and currently have a tiny bit over 1/8" on each side of the center line.

Any other way to gauge it besides looking at the depth of the rivet holes?

In the shop manual there should be a thickness spec. Usually you measure it with a caliper to see the thickness of the disc.

The more clutch jobs you do, the better you get at telling how good/bad it is by eye .
