[QUOTE=GoRacer]Control units:
* Defi = $200
* Nexus = $250

Gauges:
* Defi = $175ea
* Nexus = $200ea

** remote extra, SD card Extra, software extra.
** not shure about the adapter things for water and oil temp if theose are extra.
(I can't beleive Defi is cheaper!)

Nexus won't match the factory color lights, the Nexus are a true red. The Defi D-gauge is almost identical to the stock colors

Just Switched from Autometer to Defi D-Gauge (Boost)

Automater is all I've used to this point, but in my FD I opted for Defi D-Gauges. I love them, but I hate people talking **** about autometer. Maybe their bottom of the barrel gauges are shitty, but hey you get what you pay for.
I agree with the statement about Autometer being just as good and I have proof on my set up. I just installed the Defi boost gauge and it reads the EXACT same as my Autometer. The reason I switched was to match my wide band. The Autometer gauge actually matches the interior better (if you get the chrome bezel). I must say that I do like the way the Defi gauge hooks up with the supplied rubber hose instead of the prone to crack plastic line the Autometer gauge comes with.

Just polish the aluminum bezel on the Defi... I did.

Do you have a pic or a link to that? I can't find a 3 gauge by Nismo.

I found this flat one that looks nice
http://www.42draftdesigns.com/mk4tgp.htm

or this one at an angle
http://www.300degree.com/interior/dincluster/

This is the one that shows up for a search on Saab. Apperently after read through searches, Saab discontinued theirs. I have A part # at home but never tried to order one.

Too bad you can't buy the DIN panel kit by itself from Defi. I'd rather use the link gauges and choose my own.

Here is AdamC';s flat DIN panel

Sonic7's Carbon Innovation

How do these flat panale ones go in? Some have clips but will the clips work? Are the strong enough to hold the gauges, not rattle or fall out since they don't screw in on the side like the radio? Can someone please update that has been using these?

OK, the angled one is specific for 300ZX. I didn't notice the curved edges on the bottom and the top may be wider.

So my idea is adding the angle things on to the VW or the carbon flat panel version but I still don't undertand how it is secured in place.

I have had both the autometer carbon fiber guages and the Defi D series. Honestly, the defi D seriies do not work that well anymore. The boost gauge is off, the A/F does not work but the water temp is working fine.

I guess it's all up to taste, but I may try the new Defi blue racer, and see how they turn out.

The boost gauge is off, my electronic boost controller with digital readout is dead on accurate, and the defi always reads more vacuum and about 1 psi more of boost than the electronic does with peak hold.

Well I read over the Blue Racer gauge specs and it's electronic but does not need a link unit. The discontinued D-Gauges were mechanical. So maybe that is the issue, not necessarily the brand but mechanical versions don't last or are as acurate.

Does anyone have any updates on which single DIN gauge panel fits well and holds the gauges securely
?

Oh no they weren't. Only the boost was mechanical. The rest were electronic.
