I got more info.

SPA Design have updated the range slightly, and
the gauges now have new part numbers.Prices are as follows :-
DG201 @ 133.69
DG202 @ 133.69
DG206 @ 133.69
DG211 @ 266.82
All prices are in pounds sterling, and the gauges include senders.
All temperature gauges have a thermocouple option and external output for
warning lamps, which can be used to control other equipment.Thermocouple
adaptor boxes and probes are extra on the above prices. The adaptor box is
74.98 and probes average at 74.00 pounds each.
What is sender?

One was US$335 before the price dropped. The second one was US$250 from Pegasus.

Neo, a sender is the sensor. The little thing at the end of the wire that you mount in the engine bay somewhere that generates the electronic signal that the gauge displays. All these SPA gauges are electronic, so you get a sender for each reading, most of them come with one sender for each pressure and temperature.

these gauges can hold the peak and also have programmable warning light. So a quick look will let you know your car is safe or not.

well you just said it sarcastically like no other gauge has those functions when plenty do. i myself looked into these gauges a while back and almost bought a set of everything i would have needed for the most part. i decided that the fact that they fade to black when it gets hot and from what i understand the numbers are somewhat small and hard to read.......but i havent seen them in person.

as max was saying i think theyd be good for things that dont change too much and that you want exact readings on such as water temp, etc. i still might keep an analog gauge around for those though....who knows.

i just want to make it clear that im not shooting these gauges down....i just wouldnt use them around my car in entirety to measure and monitor all of my car's life lines just to save some space and wanted to say that if you get creative and think outside the typical a pillar mounts and stuff on where to put your gauges you can make things less clusterphobic and spaceship feeling....unless thats just how you like it.

Since you say the ECU doesn't use the gauge sender for water temp, where does it get the temp from?
Im assuming there is another sensor near the thermostat or filler neck. perhaps thiswould be a better place to tap into for your sender so they last longer.

I like the Defi gauges. One central unit....and less hassle than having to hook up all those gauges seperately

Well I like the gauges. I havn't seen them in person but I have seen pictures of the installed on the a-pillar. Heres the pic:

They look good to me and I like the digital read outs. Also I don't want to put the gauges anywhere else I want them near my other gauges so I can see them easily. Don't want them under the radio or have to relocate my AC control or over in the glove compartment. And I don't want to have 5-6 gauge pods. Thats why I'm looking into these gauges along with the mouse ears gauge pod. I'm not telling everbody that these are the best gauges and everbody should get them. I just was asking to see if anybody had any experience with them because I like them. Not yelling or ranting just explaining why I like and want them
