Gauge needle question
Hey, so today I went to see a guy who's selling his FD. While inside I started to slowly rev the engine. At my first rev I noticed one of the 3 small gauges (not sure which one but its not the fuel level one duh... lol) started to move up and down as I reved. I read about inaccurate stock gauges on FD's, so is this a common problem with FD's or some kind of gauge problem on this specific car?
Another thing not related to the above that I noticed with the car is a particular noise, quite similar to a BOV, that the car made at the beginning of every rev. Like the car would go PSHHH Vroooom, pshhh vroooom, etc.. (the sound wasn't quite "pshhh" but you get the idea) I'm guessing some kind of leak but I'm not sure. The engine is completely stock.
I'm sure these questions are completely n00bish, but hey it's my first FD

It was the oil pressure gauge, and yes, pressure increases with rpm. Well, if it sounded like a leak, it could very well have been. Hard to tell without an actual test drive to assess boost pattern. (And if the seller doesn't want you to drive the car, then ask THEM to drive the car so you can verify proper operation.)
