Gauge Cluster Compatibility

My odometer failed recently, so I'm looking for a replacement. There is a JDM cluster without the tachometer available on the forum. Does anyone know if a US tachometer could be used in a JDM cluster? If that doesn't work, I could use the JDM odometer in my US cluster if that works.

Anybody tried this? BTW, I replaced the capacitors on the odometer, but not joy

The gauge cluster components are easily swapped around - the tach is a module, the speedo/odo is a module, etc. You could swap your US tach into that JDM cluster and be good to go.

Also, read my thread on calibrating the KPH speedo to read in MPH.

Thanks Dale, this is a big help. Your calibration write-up is sweet!
