gaskets or rtv

for assembling the uim and lim, and the oil pan, atkins says to use gaskets, where pettit says not too and use rtv?? im confused.. should i just use RTV and if so what one is best for the 3rd gen? or do i spend the 400 dollars and buy the gasket set?

get the "plastic" gaskets from ebay. Or buy some aftermarket ones from Ihor or pineapple.

You have made a lot of threads about a lot of things. Just remember to search sometimes.

Use a gasket on the UIM and LIM use Hondabond for the oilpan.

sounds like its for yamaha so no. honda bond is honda's sealant. and permatex right stuff is a little easier to find and in my experience just as good.

Correction. right stuff for Imports is better

Hondabond is easy to find. Just go to your local Honda dealership. it cost 14 bucks a tube. You will only need one for the oil pan.
