Gas smell in oil
I did the oil change on my '93 RX7 fd this morning. There was a strong gas smell coming out of the oil. Is there a problem? If so, what can I do to fix it?
Need u help!!!

Dude, calm down. I changed your thread title to something a little less hysterical.
The oil gets diluted by gas in these cars, it's why you should always change the oil in 3k miles or less.

considering the way the engine operates there is a considerable contamination of the oil. This is normal for this kind of engine. However any 1.3l engine making 255 HP is on the same boat. Extrem HP engines change the oil every 4.3 seconds of operation.

Not to mention the amount of oil that's left in the oil cooler(s). You never really get 100% fresh oil when you do an oil change..........unless someone can tell me an easy way to do that.
