gas smell in oil??

Just got my car back with a fresh street-port, t04s turbo, and some other goodies. I was checking the oil today and noticed a slight gas smell. Is this normal?? The engine currently has about 300 miles on it.

Also on my break-in. I know not to keep a steady rpm for too long. But what is too long? 10 seconds, 30 seconds, a minute? Also not keeping the same rpm. Is this change of a couple hundred rpm increments or like 500 rpm increments or more? Just want a little more clear advice on this.

Thanks,

Ryan

Don't worry about the gas smell in the oil. Seems like all the Mazda engines do it. My wifes protege, my dad's b2300 truck, mom's old 626, friends protege, friends old 626.

I had not noticed it 'til recently...

new reman ~ 1,500 miles ...
I started to notice the smell after 500 to 600 miles after oil change ...

just switched to 850 primaries ... so I thought might have been it .... but
