Gas gauge stuck

Well I noticed my gauge got stuck just a little above half way and there is no way I could of done 250 miles and still have that the way I drive...

Anywhere I should look first? Gas tank, or maybe behind the gauge something may of come loose. Anyone have an idea where to start before I start taking things apart?

Fill it up and see if it starts working normally again...

check to see if the arm in the gas tank is stuck, that would be my first choice as it's deffinitely the easiest to check.

Just filled it up and it went up, guess it was the leveler in the tank, so if it happens again I'll know where to check

Fuel sending unit hung up

I had a similar issue when I first got my FD. The sending unit float was getting hung up on a sheet metal baffle in the tank. There was also a dead spot on the resistor so I replaced the sending unit but just bending the baffle back a little was the real fix. Probably could have gotten by without replacing the part.
