funky noises coming from intake

I just installed a hks intake on my FD and it makes a deep humming noise as the turbos spool up... and then coughs when the turbos blow off. How do I make it shut up???

Put your airbox back on. The humming, or mooing noise is the airpump. You can put a restrictor in there, but it will eventually hurt it. You could put a longer hose on the airpump exhaust, leading it to the front of the car, to quiet it down, but there really isn't much of a way to fix it unless you ditch the airpump.

I got the same thing when I did my Apex~i intake. My intake came with a restrictor pill to quiet it a bit. I noticed it doesn't do it all the time though. only occassionally when I full or near full throttle.

yeah only way to fix it is to get rid of the airpump or put the airbox on.

Agree, I put on an unresonated midpipe and couldn't hear anything after that
