Is fuel in your oil normal?
It is something that I have noticed for a while but it is especially noticeable when you change the oil. It reaks of fuel and I was wondering how normal this was? I know fuel is a detergent and probably doesn't hurt anything, but is it indicative of a problem?

I change the oil every 1500-2000 miles with 20W-50, the car has 62K miles on it now.
All the other FDs and TIIs I've owned also had this smell. It seems completely normal.

I've had the gas smell in my oil since the car was new in 1992.

I have had this since I got my FD as well. I always thought it may have something to do with my tuning being on the rich side. I just change my oil every 1200-1500mi because it does thin out the oil a bit...

It's does. Fuel doesn't lubricate as well as oil. They aren't saying it's good, but that's is normal for most rotaries (hence why we change our oil more than most other cars).
