fuel system questions

its time for me to upgrade my fuel system. I am going to be using an aftermarket secondary rail with 1600cc injectors, what else will i need to run this setup. As in, will i need upgraded fuel lines or a fuel pressure regulater. or will it run fine with the stock lines and stock fuel pressure. im running stock twins with most of the mods, intake, dp, cb, mp, PFC, FMIC

You will need a fuel pressure regulator, a fuel pump, and new lines and fittings. You'll also need to install resistors with the injectors to raise their impedance for the PFC. You'll also need a datalogit to set the PFC for 1600cc injectors, which cannot be done using the Commander. With the aftermarket fuel rail, you will have to remove the emissions equipment (ACV).

Sure you don't want to go with bored-out 1300cc injectors that drop right in the stock rail and don't require any other work? (except for a fuel pump)

would 850 primaries be a better option?

850cc X 4 injectors provide 3400cc of fuel, 550/1300 provide 3700cc of fuel, stock 550/850 is 2800cc of fuel.

Running 850x4 is probably enough for stock turbos up to 16 psi. So, yes, that's an option. Many people do experience trouble getting the 850cc primaries to idle well. The 1300cc upgrade maintains idle and low rpm drivability and provides higher potential, but costs more.

Wait to install until you are ready to tune.. The car will run extremely rough because the commander only goes up to 1500cc injectors. You need the software to increase to 1600cc. I have a set of resistors if you need them. I switched from power fc to microtech.. Don't need them w/ micro..DAMN! I did not see you are in tampa.. Most everyone w/ good running rotaries around here are running microtech because of a Tuner that comes to Orlando every few months.. Hope you know someone that can tune power fc.. I could not find a good "local" person. I am glad I swithced. My car is running the best it ever has. Your car is as only good as its tune..Good luck w/ your project Garret..
