Fuel Pump Sound?

Most vehicles when you turn the key to the on position without starting the vehicle you can hear a humming sound which is the Fuel pump. With Fd's should we hear the same sound? My Fd does not have that sound. When I turn it to the On position I hear a short click sound and thats it. My car starts and everything. Just curious.

You will not hear the stock fuel pump.

Turn the ignition on, and jumper the F/P and GND pins in the diagnosis box. The diagnosis box is black and the size of a golf ball, located between the battery and wheelwell.

You'll hear the pump if you go to the back of the car and you'll hear the fuel flowing through the hoses.

If your car starts and runs fine then you are obviously getting fuel pressure and the pump is turning on. I can hear fuel flowing from the engine bay. My car's pump is loud as hell though....maybe a previous owner changed to a different one?
