Fuel pressure regulator, how to know for sure if it is bad?

I've read on the site that a sure fire way to tell if the FPR is bad is to pull the vacuum hose going to it, and if there is gas in it then the FPR is bad. Is this true, and if so, where is the vacuum hose? The only hose I see on the FPR is on the top and it is a fuel line according to the factory manual.

Thanks,
-Charlie

only way I know to tell, is if it doesn't hold pressure. put a fuel pressure gauge in on of the lines. robs site has a how too...I'm sure if you search you'll find it.

The vacuum line is there. If you're crafty enough, you might be able to pull it off with the intake manifold on. It should be pretty obvious if you're looking at the FPR.
