fuel pick-up prblm...please help
i have checked and rechecked everything i can think of. i have a new pump (that seemed to help the prblm temporarily) and still when i corner to the left at <2/3 of a tank the car starves for fuel. below 1/2 tank it will cut-out if i accelerate too hard in a straight line. filling the tank always makes it run great! i tried the search and hope one of the rotary gurus can help...the fuel pump is a hp stock replacement(nippondenso), had a walbro, didn't last very long. i do use 2 stroke oil, wonder if that may clog the pick-up sock somehow?

Are you still using that stock bell shape connector between the pump and fuel line.
Internally it has a nylon part and an "O" ring. The nylon part can crack, mine did.
This will affect fuel pressure or flow.
Cut it off and connect the metal pipe to the pump oulet with injector grade fuel line. This requires the pump to now be held on with two clamps.
