Fuel Injector Diffuser Air Bleed...necessary?

Hi,

Going single (GT35R) on my FD, cleaning the manifolds, etc...and off course, I find them broken.

I'm planning on using 1000/1600 injectors, PowerFC, emissions delete, etc...

Do I need to replace these things? I've read people cut the legs off and just use the grommet as a spacer?

Thanks in advance.

I run these in my FC. I prefer them to the piece of plastic that could fall in and grenade my motor.
