Front Fenders needs cutting....

My car is barely dropped (less then an inch) and my fenders are rippping through my tires. I have Fikse Fm-10's in 17 inch in the front with 235's and they still rub. I cant go any narrower on the tire. I think my only option is to cut my fenders, i tried rolling them but they just pulled back out again. has anyone cut the inner lip on their front fenders and not had any rigidity problems. is there another solution out there i am missing?

yes and it works fine. if you look at the fender there is a spot on each side of the wheel that is thicker at the bottom, about center of the wheel. do not cut any lower than that and you will be fine. i've done it and it's worked well for 6mos+.
need more info, pm me

dont cut the fender. just roll it until it gets flat and it wont pop back out again. jack the car up, the suspension will travel and leave a gap, put ur pipe in there, lower the jack and roll. might take a couple times but go slow so you wont chip the paint. im running 17x10 +25 and i dont rub. i used to have 235/45/17 but now im running 225/45/17. good luck withe the rolling.

Seems to be an offset problem. Other than changing the offset (wheels) you just need to roll them completely flush to the inside of the fender.

how much negative camber are you running? the more negative you run the further away from the fender the tire will end up

Fikse is known for producing wheels with conservative offsets, I'm very susprised that you are having issues. My front 17 inch FM5s with 245 width tires give me no problems, and with my old coilovers my FD was slammed.

Also, if you decide to roll the fenders, make sure you prep the area to be rolled----clean it, wax it, and use a heat gun.

i have the problem but more on my drivers side, it sits about 15mm lower on that side.....I have replaced the struts and springs but no joy, it menas i cant take sharp fast left turns without this horrible grating noise, its does the same on the passenger side but not so bad, and the front suspension is now stock, it was lowered abiet on the cheap by the previous owner. any suggestiosn on cause???

I see a set of ride-height adjustable coilovers in your future

dude, 225 on a 10" wide wheel is crazy. +25 offset is nuts on an fd. look at the pic you posted. the sidewall is stretched out, the bead on the lip is protruding. this is not a good solution. +41 offset with a 245-35-17 would be about the same diameter as stock.
