Is a front clip worth it?
I have a 93 fd that I'm looking at getting a jdm front clip because I am missing SO MUCH.
I want to know what parts I can use from a rhd on my usdm fd ( I don't want to do a swap too much time and money and no shop around my little mountain town that will do such work) and what parts won't.
At this time I'm missing most of my motor. Wires both headlamps. My fenders are bad. I can't get my lights to turn on. ( with a few exception. Turns done and brake lights.) both fenders have seen better days. My bumper is missing the mounting hardware, missing my radiator mount, and looks like its had a fender bender on the front at one point in time.
(The people that had it before wanted to do a ls1 swap on it. But they never got the motor pulled but lost all kinds of parts they took of. And interior is missing a lot to cause they wanted to gut it.)
I have looked at clips and I see them around 5000 to 6000 but motors for 2400 with tranny and wires. ( but not all the ones I need) and I'm just wanting to know if it's cost effective or not.

I actually bought a clip for my FD and it was a headache saver for all the parts I was missing from the dash up but I also did switch over to RHD. There is still a lot of parts you can use with a clip that can save you time and money looking for. You can sell a lot of the parts and buy what you need also.

I actually bought a half cut from a guy on craigslist for $700 because he needed the money because he got laid off. Then I found out the rear rotor had 10psi of compression all in all don't buy a half cut like said above most of the parts are not swapable and I would of did a compression test but it was one of those sight on seen kinda deals. But if there is parts on the half cut that you need or the fact that it had a 99 spec bumper go ahead and buy it.
Thanks
