:ar: Friggin Idle Problem
Hey guys, new to the forums but have been reading a lot. I've got the same idle problem with my PowerFC as everyone else. Although, mine seems to be a little different. 100% sure there are no vacuum leaks. Boost is a solid 13psi. Wires were not cut because I bought my PFC from SRM. My idle is normal cold and warm. It starts to act up when there is electrical load on the car or when I tap the accelerator but calms down after about 20 to 30 seconds. Been doing this ever since I had my PFC!!!! Never did this with the stock ECU. I know 2nd gens did this because the TPS would go bad. Any help please!!!

You didn't say what your idle problem exactly was - I'm guessing it's surging. Read the Power FC forum - this is a VERY common problem, and you need to readjust the idle screw on the throttle body. It's an easy fix.

Sorry I wasn't more descriptive. Idle bounces from 1k - 1,500 RPM. After about 20-30 seconds, it calms down. Also, when idle is bouncing, if A/C is turned on, it calms down (A/C only, every other electrical load makes it bounce).
