FPR setup

Have aeromotive fpr and was wonderin' about the fuel return line...currently the return from the regulator is coming from the bottom of the FPR back to the fuel tank. The question is: I connected the barbed fitting directly to the return line to the tank...is this correct? I have a spare braided line that appears to have a restrictor...or small orifice in the line...is this supposed to be in the return line from the regulator to assist the regulator in maitaining pressure?

Thanks
Nick
