FPR Input

Does the hose running from the FPR, need to be on a solenoid or can it just be directly plugged up to the UIM? I've been running with it just up to the manifold for about 3 months now but have been reading some stuff that says i can'y do it. Does anyone have and exp. on this?

Thanks

The solenoid is there to "hide" the manifold vacuum from the regulator so you get more fuel pressure (and thus more flow) during some circumstances like hot starts, etc.

I don't see any reason why the car couldn't run okay without the solenoid, but instead have it directly connected to the manifold.
