Red face Found an Rx-7, Need help

Well, I went to see an 93 rx-7 r1, and at first it seemed pretty good. It has 80k miles and the interior/exterior is in great condition. The thing is that it leaks oil pretty bad. I first looked underneath before it was turned on and there was nothing, however, after it was running for a couple of minutes, it was leaking a drop every 2 seconds. I couldn't see if there was a crack or what. It has been hit in the rear, and repaired though. Anyway, it runs very strong, and I felt no grinding when shifting gears. When I test drove it, there did seem to be a slight chirping noise, and when I got out for him to pull into his garage, the chirping was very noticiable. He put in the Greddy catback exhaust, so mabey it's from that? Are those pretty big problems?
How much should I offer the guy? He's asking 14k which I think is just crazy.

Thanks for all the help.

$14,000 for an FD is really good. Make sure to get a compression test before purchasing the car. The oil leak should be located before purchasing the FD. It could be $50-200 to fix the oil leak. Also, if he has an exhaust most likely he has a boost gauge. Make sure the boost is hitting 10-8-10. Good luck

Chirping? Explain it a little more. Maybe just a bad belt. As for the oil leak, it could be a $50 rear main seal, or a $500 oil pan gasket, or a $3,000 turbo replacement. My advice is to have it checked out (with a compression test) at a reputable rotary tuner.

The chirping was in 1st gear when after I let go of the clutch and pushed the gas. I was only going like 5 mph at the time.
