found part of my idle issues
Well after trying to dyno tune the car my idle from 1000-1500rpms came back. During one of the dyno runs I noticed a small puff of white smoke from under the UIM. I figured it might have been the lower to upper manifold connection. I pulled the UIM and saw small pools of oil and oil on the top of the block. i thought my oil metering pumpe still wasnt working since it wasnt before the rebuild. I even capped the top of the injector nipples. The oil was coming from the oil injector/bnajo fittings. I pulled the OMP today, and pulled the injector nozzles, blocked them off with bolts, and made a temporary block off plate out of 16 gauge steel for the OMP. car idled nice at first, then when I blip the throttle it would surge again but very little. I disconnect the TPS sensor and reconnect it and the idle goes back to smooth, until you hit the throttle. I went in and dropped the PIM voltage from 100% to 92% on 1000rpms and the idle stays smooth for now. I think I still may have a small vacuum leak somewhere but I thought id share.
Why are you doing all of those things to your oil injection nozzles? They contain check valves, which are obviously bad. Just replace them, they don't cost much, Ray probably has them for $26/each or so.
