Ford Ring and Pinion in 3rd gen

The ring gear size is 8.038 inches. Has anyone crossed this with a Ford R&P and got it to work? It sure would be nice to pay $200 for a ring and pinion as apposed to $500 to $800.

There is a lot more to an R&P than the ring gear diameter. There's the gear thickness, number of bolts, internal diameter, pinion gear height (relative to the centerline of the ring gear), distance laterally from the ring gear, bearing position...

Yes but has anyone found one that will work? Or do we have to bend over once again and fork out 500 bucks!
